August 2013 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome!  I am so glad you hopped over from

My Stamp of the Month Projects
As you may have noticed I decided to create various containers for chocolate treats to go along
with our delightful "A Chocolate Affair" stamps.  Here you see a Candy Bar Wrapper, a  Pop-Up Treat Holder and a Cupcake Box all cut with our Cricut Artiste cartridge.  I used our new Babycakes paper so you could potentially make these as Halloween Treats.
  Always thinkin' ahead!  Enjoy!
Now hop on over to   Jaime's Scrappin' In Harmony to see some more sweet surprises!

    1. Here are my instructions for the pop=up treat holder. The Artiste was used for making the oval cuts.
      Pop-Up Treat Holder
      1. 2 ½” x 12” strip of Chocolate CS
Position horizontally on Cricut mat. Move knife down 2 notches and over to the left 6 notches. Cricut cut Artiste page 36 1” - Accent 2 - 6^ Key
      2. 2 ½” x 12” B&T paper cut same way as the piece above. Then trim off of both sides.
Line up pieces and glue together.
Score from the end with the hole at 3 ¾ and 4 ¼.
Turn the strip around and score at 3 ¼ and 3 ¾. Fold on score lines
      3, Fold in half a 1 ½ x 5 piece of Chocolate CS.
      4. Adhere one side of the fold to the “lid” and place the free end in the oval.
      5. Separate the threads of an 8 “ piece of burlap ribbon. Create a handle at the top by knotting 4 strands together.
      6. Decoration for the front:
Cricut cut Artiste page 36 Accent 2 - 6^ key 1 ¾” from Chocolate CS
      1 ½ ‘ FROM Colonial White CS
      ½” X 1 7/8” Colonial white
      5/8” x 2” Sunset CS
      7. Attach Z1805 Hook and Loop Dot to close
      8. Attach mini candy bar under fold line of 1 ½ x 5 piece with Glue Dots
